Eadiella

Singer/songweriter Eadiella.

Eadiella isn’t your average portrait subject. We shot for about 90 minutes and produced twenty or more images that you’d be happy to use in your portfolio or on an album cover or as an image to hang on your wall.

Eadiella (pronounced "ee-dee-ella") is a Naarm/Melbourne-based, London-born singer-songwriter and guitarist. Her work is described variously as heartfelt folk-rock and indie-folk, pop-rock and soulful country. Personally I simply describe her music as beautiful.

Eadiella’s Singles (in order) include:

  1. 'Wishing Well' – debut, mid-2025. An acoustic track exploring self-sabotage, with the refrain "I don't wish me well" and allusions to Greek mythology.

  2. 'Prison Guard' – August 2025. A grittier follow-up about self-doubt, blending indie-folk with a soft-rock edge.

  3. 'Wild Thing' – released 26 September 2025, previewed as a folk-pop turn.

  4. 'Breathe You' – her fourth single, released with a music video (reviewed late November 2025). It featured in the editorial Apple Music playlist 'New in Pop' and came with a whimsical video.

  5. 'Higher Love' – a stunning song, released September 2026; it’s a duet with fellow Melbourne artist River Holland. It was recorded live in a single take.

Other notes

  • Eadiella won the busking competition at the Port Fairy Street Fair 2026.

  • Eadiella was interviewed on Triple R's Young at Art with Frankie Mazzone.

  • Eadiella plays both solo folk sets and full-band shows around Melbourne (Bad Decisions Bar, The Vineyard).

Photography

In photography terms: All these images of were shot on the Sony A1 with the Sony 85MM f1.4. I’m a bit surprised to see that; some of them look more like a 50mm FOV but then, it’s not always easy to tell. On the day I also used the Sony 35mm f2 Contemporary lens – a person favourite, and a severely under-rated lens – though none of the images taken with this lens made this cut. I’m pushing exposure here but there’s still plenty of mood.
